Hello, I am Victoria Petty or Mrs. Petty. I am the school counselor here at St. Edward and I am excited to join you all this year.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I lived in Fremont and Newark from birth to 5th grade and moved up to Danville for middle and high school. Fremont and Newark have always had a place in my heart and in my life from the sports and church I attended to moving back multiple times.

I received my Bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley majoring in Psychology and then took a break to find myself and my dream career. I went back to school in 2021 attending Grand Canyon University for my Masters of Education in School Counseling. I am happy to say I have found my calling and my dream job here in St. Edward and I am thrilled to be a part of the team.

A school counselor is an important part of a healthy school environment and helps students with social, emotional, and academic learning. Some of these things include but are not limited to coping skills, relationships, social and emotional skills and awareness, decision making, goal-setting, conflict resolution, and even crisis interventions.
