Art Club

All things, in their way, reflect heavenly truth, the imagination not least. ― C.S. Lewis, Surprised by Joy: The Shape of My Early Life

Hello, St. Edward Students, Families and Visitors to Our Website!

My name is Constance Dalton, and I am the Director of the Art Club, which meets after school on Mondays from 3-4:00 p.m.

A little about my background: I have been privileged to teach for 25 years and work as a Principal for 5 years in the Diocese of Oakland. My B.A. and M.A. are in English Literature. In addition, I have worked in Development in both Oakland and San Francisco. This is the 3rd year that I will have the opportunity to share my love for Art with students.

Those who join the Art Club can expect to learn some of the State standards, including Line, Shape, Form, Texture, Color, Value, and Space. We will do this through both discussion and practice, and we will make projects that are a lot of fun. Often our projects will be related to holidays or to activities at school.

If you are thinking about joining Art Club but have not yet registered, pick up a form from the school front office, or send me an email. I’m looking forward to meeting you! Thank you!
