Teacher

Hello! 

 

My name is Mikayla Oteyza and I will be the 5th grade teacher at St. Edward Catholic School for the 2023-2024 academic school year! I attended St. Edward School for my kindergarten-6th grade years and I am proud to be back at my old elementary school. 

 

I graduated at Sonoma State University in May 2022 where I received my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Studies with a focus in Education. After receiving my Bachelor's I enrolled back into Sonoma State for their credential program. I student taught for a year in a kindergarten/first grade combination class. I absolutely love working in a classroom environment and have had experience with upper and lower elementary. I value building strong relationships with my students, families, and colleagues as it is important to create a community of love, faith, and unity.    

 

I am beyond excited to have the opportunity of teaching fifth grade!
